8 of August Vigília de Sant Gaietà

It will all begin with the ringing of bells and mortar fire, followed by the departure of the giants of Llucmaçanes, accompanied by the Maó Music Band. During this event, the First Toc de fabiol and the delivery of the flag will take place. Later, the departure of the Colcada will take place, which will run through the streets of the town. In honour of the patron saint, the Compline will be held in the church of Sant Gaietà. One of the most anticipated moments will be the Jaleo in the Pla de Sant Gaietà, which will be animated by the Maó Music Band. Finally, you can enjoy the verbena.

9 of August Dia de Sant Gaietà

In the morning the departure of the Colcada will take place. In the church of Sant Gaietà, the Mass of Caixers will be celebrated, followed by the distribution of the typical aigua-ros. One of the most anticipated moments will be the Jaleo in the Pla de Sant Gaietà, which will be animated by the Maó Music Band. The Caixers will be able to enjoy their traditional Beguda de Caixers. In addition, the giants of Llucmaçanes, Maó and the rest of the invited groups will be leaving, accompanied by the Maó Music Band and the Band of Cornets and Drums. In the Pla de Sant Gaietà, a musical performance will be held. Everything will culminate with a large fireworks display.

For the little ones, there will be popular children’s games and a musical performance. In addition, the traditional sardine will be performed. In the evening, you can enjoy a musical performance and dancing. Finally, as a closing of the festivities, the firing of a powerful firecracker will take place.
