Sant Miquel Pagès, a five-year ruckus
Every five years, the jaleo, a deep-rooted tradition in Es Migjorn Gran that involves the participation of horses, is organized. In the raleo, the horses, ridden by riders, parade through the streets while the Es Migjorn Gran music band enlivens the atmosphere with their melodies. This event is very festive, attractive and striking, since not only the horses stand out, but also the festive character of the entire town that pays tribute to the local and island peasantry.
